Who We Are

Our Mission

The Maryland Affordability Project is an advocacy organization focused on educating and engaging all Marylanders about how failed state polices have driven Maryland into an affordability crisis. We believe a strong, vibrant economy is essential to making Maryland more affordable and expanding opportunity for all.

We will inform everyday Marylanders how flawed policies negatively impact their cost of living, our economy, and the ability of families, workers, and small businesses to succeed. By connecting these policies to real-world consequences, we will empower Marylanders to demand real change.

What We Believe

Our Core Beliefs

Affordability is a shared concern.

Rising costs affect everyone. Whether you're a homeowner in the suburbs, a small business owner in Baltimore, or a family in Western Maryland, the affordability crisis is real and demands serious solutions.

Policy has consequences.

Every decision in Annapolis has a real-world impact. We believe you deserve to know exactly how these decisions affect your finances.

Knowledge drives change.

When people understand what's happening and why, they take action. Our goal is to give you the information and tools you need to engage with your elected officials and advocate for better outcomes.

Economic strength lifts everyone.

A competitive, growing economy creates jobs, raises wages, and generates the resources needed for strong schools, safe communities, and quality public services. We fight for policies that make Maryland a place where businesses want to invest, and families want to stay.
